Mother of Waters, a twelve-foot-tall 1,000-piece ceramic installation, transforms the topography of the Mississippi River into a 3D from within the gallery. The Mississippi River, synonymously known as the "Father of Waters," centers on Mississippi, the state with the highest infant mortality rate in the U.S. Through a similar drawing technique used to make topographic silk screens, each component is made by drawing with  porcelain, and shaped in the kiln.
